Fondation de France is a private organization, whose governing bodies are the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. The President of the Board of Directors is elected for a four-year term, renewable once. The status of members of the Board of Directors and of the various expert committees is that of volunteer. The President of the Board of Directors appoints a CEO who is tasked with forming an Executive Committee.
What are the governance missions?
Together with the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors sets the strategy, monitors its implementation, votes on the budget and programs, approves the accounts, manages finance and ensures compliance with the legislative framework.
Strong financial supervision
Fondation de France has set up a financial supervision mechanism, which is itself supervised by the Finance Committee, whose task twice a year is to approve the funds allocated to the 888 Fondation de France donor-advised funds.
