How are our 6 regional foundations organized?
Fondation de France created the first regional philanthropic network in France.
In order for its philanthropic activities to have the most impact, Fondation de France must act at the right level: local. Acting locally, it can be close to day-to-day realities in the field and better understand the community’s needs. Thanks to its six regional foundations and national headquarters, Fondation de France can pursue its activities throughout France. Nord, Grand-Est, Grand-Ouest, Centre-Est, Sud-Ouest and Méditerranée: Fondation de France mobilizes 228 volunteers and 25 salaried employees in the field.
How the regional foundations are organized
To better carry out their missions, the regional teams are composed of:
- a Charitable activities team, composed of volunteers and salaried employees who work with regional stakeholders and project leaders;
- a Development team, composed of volunteers and salaried employees, in charge of fundraising and relations with donors and regional economic players.
The general manager represents Fondation de France on a regional level. They lead, coordinate and embody the missions of the Fondation de France in their region, with the support of one or several volunteer presidents and a regional relations officer who maintains the regional foundation’s stakeholder network (founders, donors, project leaders, volunteers, etc.).
Volunteers play a strategic role at the center of the regional foundations.
As experts in different non-profit domains and citizens committed to their regions, our volunteers identify, provide training for, and follow up on projects supported by Fondation de France. Expert panels, composed of specialists on various regional issues, can be organized locally to make recommendations on potential projects.
Support for our regional teams also comes from a volunteer network that is dedicated to developing resources. Through their experience, expertise and professional contacts, they help promote and champion Fondation de France’s role in the French philanthropic landscape.
